Digital art contest
How all it works
1- Come to see us at either iOne Canadia, iOne Sovanna or iOne Sihanouk anytime between the 5th to 25th of October, learn more about the contest and try out the iPad 2 with the supplied apps we are using for the design of the artworks. The apps are ‘Photo Booth’ for image capture & editing, ‘Snapseed‘ for image-editing, ‘procreate’ for painting & sketching and ‘ComicBook!’ to create picture stories. You can always try out the apps at home, too, on your own iOS devices, if you prefer.
2- Visit us online on Facebook at www.facebook.com/iOneCambodia where we are also going to showcase the apps, samples and how you can create amazing artworks with them. Don’t forget to ‘Like’ our page, as we will have a public voting in the second step of the contest and the winners’ announcement on our page,too. This is not necessary to join the contest, but will give you some benefits.
3- Think about the given theme ‘Happy Days’ and how you are going to impress the judges with your unique creative vision! Maybe you want to use some pictures you have shot in your design,too? This is not obligatory, you can also only draw your vision, if you prefer, or a mixture of both. Also make sure you can finish your tasks in 15 minutes, as this is how much time we will give you to create your artwork on the spot.
4- When you think you have what it takes, copy the images, in case you want to use any, to an USB ThumbDrive in unedited JPG format and bring them with you for your design creation. Otherwise just come to either iOne Canadia, iOne Sovanna or iOne Sihanouk anytime between the 5th to 25th of October, signup for the contest and create your artwork on the spot in 15 minutes with the provided iPad 2. We will do the uploading to Facebook for you.
5- Visit our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/iOneCambodia to see your submitted artwork and share it with your friends. Maybe they want to join the contest, too?
6- In the second step of the contest from 26st-31st October you can vote for your artwork in our special gallery on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/iOneCambodia. Invite your friends to vote for you, as this will increase your chances of winning. The entry with the most ‘Like’ votes will win the public‘ choice and receive an iPod Touch 8GB. He still can win all the other prizes,too. The top ten winners will receive extra points for the final judging, amounting to 10% of their total score.
7- The panel of judges, consisting of media professionals and iOne management, will announce the winners on 1st November on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/iOneCambodia. The judges’ score will count 90% towards the final score, based 60% on idea and 40% on the execution of the contestants’ entries. A prize giving ceremony will be held on 4th November 2011 at iOne.
Terms and Conditions
3. Prizes are as following; Grand prize: One [1] MacBook Air 11-inch [MC968ZP/A], Second prize: One [1] iPad 2 64GB WiFi Black [MC916ZP/A], Third prize: One [1] iPad 2 16GB WiFi Black [MC769ZP/A], Fourth prize: One [1] iPod Touch 8GB [MC540ZP/A], Consolation prizes: 5th to 10th place will receive one [1] iOne Gift Voucher $20.
*Facebook public choice winner: One [1] iPod Touch 8GB [MC540ZP/A]; | Each participant is allowed to enter the contest with one entry only.
4. Each contestant has to fill out an entry form before submitting his artwork.
5. All submissions must be created on spot at either of the three participating outlets: iOne Canadia, iOne Sovanna, iOne Sihanouk.
6. Each contestant has 15 minutes to create his artwork on the supplied iPad 2 tablets at either location only with the four supplied apps [Photo Booth, Snapseed, ComicBooks! and procreate].
7. All photographs used must be taken by contestants, be unedited and not infringe on any copyrights.
8. Contestants will be solely responsible for any legalities attached to the images used in their artworks.
9. Submissions that depict politically or culturally sensitive messages, pornography, violence, nudity, weapons, alcohol and other drug use shall be automatically disqualified.
10. By entering and submitting artwork for the contest contestants automatically agree to allow iOne Co., Ltd. to use their artwork in any form, both printed and electronic in any reproduction and in any period of time; | iOne reserves the right to disqualify any submissions that do not meet the entry requirements or match the Terms and Conditions.
11. Judges' decision on the winners will be final; judges‚ vscore counts 90% towards the final score, based 60% on idea and 40% on the execution of the contestants' entries.
12. The Facebook public' choice winner will be chosen by the public based on the highest 'Like' number on his artwork in a designated gallery on the iOne Cambodia Facebook page [www.facebook.com/iOneCambodia] at 6pm on 31st October 2011
*Public votes are counted from 26st-31st October; the top ten artworks receive further bonus points that count 10% towards the final score.
13. Families and relatives of iOne's staff are prohibited from participating in the contest; | Product images are for illustrative purposes only and actual prizes may differ from photographs.
14. iOne reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions at any time without further notice.
